Dr. Patrick Noel

Dr. Patrick Noel is a distinguished bariatric surgeon at the Nairobi Bariatric Center, bringing over 25 years of experience in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. Trained in laparoscopic techniques in Montpellier in the early 1990s, Dr. Noel has emerged as one of France’s leading experts in the field.

In 2000, he established the bariatric department at a private practice in Marseille, where he has performed more than 6,000 bariatric procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, and gastric banding, along with over 800 revision surgeries. His groundbreaking work includes the world’s first series of re-sleeves and sleeves after gastric banding failures.

Dr. Noel’s impressive publication record highlights his journey from an early pioneer of laparoscopy to an internationally renowned figure in bariatric surgery. He continues to innovate with developments in bariatric surgery.

In addition to his bariatric expertise, Dr. Noel is actively involved with international surgical societies, performing live surgeries at global congresses and conducting workshops for other surgeons. He is now extending his expertise to the Gulf region, collaborating with top hospitals and training young surgeons in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
